He definitely established himself as the new Rajnikanth with this movie as it's high time someone steps up to fill those huge shoes. His character is enjoyable and he runs a very successful business, but he runs into a small problem in the form of a widower. Ajith Kumar is someone who has been struggling for sometime to get a good film release and it's clear from the movie that he has been struggling for awhile. This movie kind of shows it because his role was initially written for an actor from London, though he sadly couldn't make it in time. Ajith's part was then given to Sivakarthikeyan and the rest is history. Ajith played a wheelchair bound man who doesn't have any arms or legs, instead he has 'pistachio peanuts' which are basically balls that keep him going around. The reason why his character was written as he is now, is because his character was originally meant for an actor from England. Rathnavelu is a small man with a big heart who lives in a small village and he runs a candy shop. He's very generous and kind hearted and the fact that the movie focuses on him, makes his character very memorable. He is thrown into the town after he accidentally stumbles into a room full of money which belongs to an extremely wealthy businessman. He brings all this money back to his village where he opens a little business which revolves around selling sweets and other items made from sugar cane. Anandhi is a young girl who was born with 2 birth defects in her legs and has to wear special trousers to keep her legs safe and warm in winter. She also struggles in school because she can't run very quickly and that's why the school drop out of her. She then becomes an odd job provider, where she gets people to do house chores for them when needed. Siddharth has been seen in some nice supporting roles such as "Kadhal Konden" or "Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga", but his character here is absolutely amazing. He plays a man who has a great passion for painting paintings, which makes his character 100% memorable.
